Finding Stella
Famous

www.FindingStella.com

I used to work for a band – a great band - that just couldn’t make magic in the studio. I think Finding Stella is on another spot on the live vs. studio spectrum – they sound great on CD, and it sounds as if they know how to entertain an audience live as well. I think they really shine when they slip effortlessly out of tradition rock patterns (which by default, are a bit played out) and get into some interesting vein like a psychedelic interlude or a near 60’s bubbly moment. Regardless they rock and their musicianship as a unit is just starting to bud. My picks: “Dirty,” “Famous,” “Good Girl,” “In The Hall,” “In My Bed” and “Everytime.”

Gig alerts! You’ll be Finding Stella June 24 @ Pleasant Hill’s Concerts by the Lake Summer Concert Series, July 29 @ Gilroy’s Garlic Festival and Aug 10 @ Pleasanton’s Concert in the Park.

The fans down under rocked!! They were blown away by the band, the sound and the party! Some of their comments are below...

Janelle (our biggest fan in Sydney)
"Probably the best band I have seen live in 5 years. The entertainment value was 100%. It was great to see a live band that could really rock the house and you certainly did. The CD's are great...you gals and guys were the best entertainment all weekend...[tks Janelle!]

Michelle

Debbie (Sydney)
You guys were great at Girlfest. We all had a ball. A big thank you to you Chris. You definitely made my weekend! I think the girls will be keeping an eye out for Finding Stella to return to Australia. Keep up the good work and all the best.

P.S. INXS don't know what they are missing.

"San Francisco Bay Area band Finding Stella is making their way toward mainstream rock with this stand-out independent release. Twitch is Finding Stella's first full-length studio release, and an impressive one at that." read the full review >>

"Upon listening to this CD – my first taste of Finding Stella – I was immediately enthralled. I understand that the band has been drawing a good number of fans to their music, particularly in the West Coast of the USA. The eleven songs show some clever songwriting capabilities and it’s etched with a rich smoothness in the way the songs are delivered. Good qualities all round and undoubted potential."

Brent Hugo, CDBaby Review
"A mix of what was and what is..... there's very little new in the industry that can hold up totally on its own. These songs are some of the few worth the wait for even dial-up download! Hear's hoping this band makes the jump to the right coast soon, there's too much talent here to limit them to the wine-tasting crowd in Cally!"

"Lively, lively, lively. Basic without being "gutbucket." Danceable blue-eyed soul. Enthusiastic, sweaty and inventive. Eleven tunes, ten from within the band; one the Beatles' "Come Together," which has certainly been a good session and live groove for a lot of rock bands over the years. Power chord guitar and female vocal driven and sort of like Heart, but far funkier. All purpose rough and ready rock. Perpetually young."

"Festival favorite Finding Stella nearly stole the show with their high-power performance. At close of their set, vocalist Chris Snyder fired up the crowd as she jumped down from the stage and sang and danced with the audience."

"You GALS ROCK........ (and the guys rock as well). I’m still trembling from the gutsy vocals and wild show you lot put on for us on the Gold Coast last weekend. You truly rocked GIRLFEST out of the closet and into the domain of a great music weekend. How could a girl be more entertained than to get in a Bikini, sit in the sunshine and watch a bunch of Wild SanFranniens Kick Rock Ass. Thanks for the “special” signing of my CD. ~ Megan
